Synopsys also relies on the vendor’s binary compatibility claim on support across major versions. Synopsys relies on the OS vendor's binary compatibility claim and supports running higher minor versions. For example, a tool supported on RHEL 7.3 will run on RHEL 7.4. This means that an application supported on OS version X.Y will run on OS version X.Z. Operating system vendors guarantee that applications compiled on a lower minor version of an operating system will be binary compatible with higher minor versions of the same operating system. Synopsys builds its products on selected versions of each operating system.

REBASLIGHT SUPPORTED PLATFORMS OFFLINE
This section provides the list of supported platforms for running the patch offline downloader. Note that if you are using an offline downloader, you can run the offline downloader on any Windows or Linux machine, but the HP-UX patch repository must still reside on the HP-UX (SWA) Server. Ensure that createrepo and python-urlgrabber are installed on the CentOS system.Īn HP-UX patch repository must reside either directly on the HP-UX (SWA) Server or in a directory that the SWA Server considers to be a local share. Similarly, for CentOS 8, use the patch repository created on the system that runs CentOS 8.

Note: If you are using Solaris 11 patches, you can only use a Solaris 11 server for storing the patch repository.įor CentOS 7, use a patch repository created on the system that runs CentOS 7.

SuSE Linux with createrepo and python-urlgrabber installed.Īny supported RPM-based Linux with createrepo and python-urlgrabber installed For more information, see Zypper patching tool. Warning: BMC strongly recommends using Zypper when creating a patching job for a patch catalog that was created using the Subscription Management Tool (SMT).

SMT is shipped out-of-the-box with the operating system. SuSE 12 SP1 or later service pack of SuSE 12 (recommended) You must manually install and configure SMT (version 11 SP3) on the repository server before you create a SuSE patch catalog. Note: SuSE recommends upgrading SuSE 12 to SuSE 12 SP1 to avoid dependency issues. For more information, see Announcing the hotfix for iDRAC 9 support.ġ0 The Hardware Information custom object is not supported on Linux with ppc64le architecture. So, use the customized Windows 2016 X64 SPT.ĩ iDRAC 9 support is enabled for TrueSight Server Automation 20.02 only after you install the hotfix.
